Letter from the President

Welcome to the Gamma Zeta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Arizona! I hope you take the time and explore all of what our website has to show you about what it’s like to be a Kappa at the University of Arizona! You can learn about our Fraternity’s history, what it means to be a Kappa, our chapter officers, fundraising and philanthropy, how to sign up for Panhellenic recruitment, and more!

I am filled with gratitude to serve as the 2023 president of our chapter. Kappa has been an integral part of my college journey, and I can confidently say that our chapter has provided me with some of the most transformative and cherished moments of my life.

First and foremost, I want to express how deeply proud I am of our chapter and the remarkable

accomplishments we have achieved together. Our Gamma Zeta sisters have consistently shown dedication, passion, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of college life. Whether it be academics, leadership, service, or personal growth, our members continually strive to make a positive impact on our campus and beyond. Our chapter values—truth, optimism, respect, connection, knowledge, and trailblazing—serve as the guiding principles that shape our sisterhood. In our chapter, these values are not just words on paper—they are lived and embodied by our members.

When I reflect on what makes our Gamma Zeta chapter so special, the word "home" comes to mind. Our chapter house is not just a physical structure; it is a place where bonds are forged, memories are made, and lifelong friendships are nurtured. From the moment I walked through those doors, I felt a sense of belonging and comfort that I had never experienced before. I have been fortunate to live in the house for 3 years now, and it has been the time of my life!

What truly sets our Gamma Zeta chapter apart is the unwavering support and love we have for one another. We celebrate each other's successes and offer a shoulder to lean on during challenging times. We embrace individuality and diversity, recognizing that our differences make us stronger and more vibrant as a sisterhood. We truly have created a supportive network that extends far beyond our college years.

I’m so extremely grateful for all of my time in Kappa Kappa Gamma and I am so proud to lead a chapter that excels in all aspects of campus life. We constantly challenge ourselves to grow and

learn, both individually and collectively. We strive to make a difference in the world and leave a lasting legacy. I hope you enjoy learning more about us and the amazing opportunities we have to offer! We are thankful to be a part of the University of Arizona, the Tucson community, and the Panhellenic community filled with thousands of amazing women.

Loyally,

Carlie Herrmann
